Your Google Business Profile is the panel with your map pin, hours, photos and reviews that Google shows when someone searches for your business or your trade nearby. It decides whether you appear in the map pack. MidDevon Digital optimises it properly, then manages it month after month: posts, photos, questions and answers, review responses, hours and service areas, and Bing Places kept in sync. It's included in the SEO plan from £199 a month plus VAT.

Google Business Profile optimisation and management, done every month

Why the profile is the most valuable listing you own

A Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is the free listing Google gives every business: the map pin, the panel of hours, photos, reviews and services, and the entry in the map pack. It is the main thing Google uses to decide which local businesses to show, and it's the first thing most customers see before they ever reach your website.

Most profiles were set up once, years ago, and left. Wrong category, no services listed, three photos, hours that don't mention bank holidays, questions nobody answered and reviews nobody replied to. Google reads all of that as a business that isn't paying attention, and ranks it accordingly. A profile that's complete, accurate and active does the opposite, and it costs nothing but time.

Optimisation is the start

The right primary and secondary categories, every service listed and described, a description written for customers and search, attributes, service areas, opening hours including bank holidays, and a proper set of photos. That's month one.

Management is what keeps you there

Regular posts, new photos, questions answered before a stranger answers them for you, a reply to every review, hours updated for the holidays, and the profile's insights read so we know what's working. That's every month.

Bing too

Bing Places feeds Bing, Copilot and a surprising amount of in-car and voice search. We keep it in sync with Google so your details match everywhere.

We manage Google Business Profiles for businesses in Cullompton, Tiverton, Exeter, Taunton, Plymouth and across Devon, Somerset and Cornwall, and for businesses anywhere in the UK.

What profile management includes

Done every month as part of the SEO plan, after the profile is set up properly in month one.

  • Profile optimisation: categories, services, description, attributes
  • Service areas and opening hours, including bank holidays
  • Regular posts: offers, updates, news
  • Photo management: new photos added, poor ones removed
  • Questions and answers monitored and answered
  • Review monitoring and a reply to every review
  • Bing Places sync
  • Profile insights read and reported each month
  • Spam and incorrect edits caught and reversed
  • Profile set up and verified if you don't have one yet

Who needs their profile managed

Anyone customers find on a map.

Businesses with a shopfront

Shops, cafes, salons, garden centres, clinics. Hours, photos and reviews are the decision.

Trades that travel

Plumbers, electricians, builders and cleaners with a service area rather than a counter. Service-area settings and categories do the heavy lifting.

Businesses with more than one location

Each site needs its own accurate profile, and they need to agree with each other and the website.

Anyone with reviews they aren't answering

Unanswered reviews, good or bad, are read by every prospect. We reply to all of them in your voice.

How we take over your profile

You keep ownership. We get manager access and do the work.

Step 1

Access, not ownership

You add us as a manager on your profile. It stays in your name and your Google account; we never ask you to hand it over.

Step 2

Month one: optimise

Categories, services, description, attributes, service areas, hours and photos set properly, and the profile verified if it isn't already.

Step 3

Every month: manage

Posts, photos, Q&A, review responses, hours changes and Bing sync, plus a check for rogue edits and duplicate listings.

Step 4

Report

Views, searches, calls and direction requests from the profile's own insights, in your monthly SEO report.

What is Google Business Profile optimisation?

Setting the profile up so Google understands exactly what you do and where: the right categories, every service listed, a clear description, accurate service areas and hours, and good photos. It's the groundwork that makes the map pack possible, and it's done in your first month on the plan.

What is the difference between optimisation and management?

Optimisation is the one-off set-up. Management is the ongoing work that keeps the profile active and accurate: posts, photos, Q&A, review replies and hours. Google favours profiles that are looked after, so both matter.

Is Google Business Profile management included in the SEO plan?

Yes. Profile optimisation and monthly management are part of the SEO plan from £199 a month plus VAT, with no setup fee.

Can I buy profile management on its own?

No, it’s part of the SEO plan rather than a separate service. The profile works alongside your website, citations and reviews, so it’s managed as one job with the rest of the monthly work. The plan starts at £199 a month plus VAT with no setup fee and no contract.

Do you need my Google login?

No. You add us as a manager from your own account. The profile stays yours and you can remove our access at any time.

How quickly do profile changes show?

Faster than most SEO. Changes to a profile can show within weeks, and an active profile with recent posts, photos and review replies tends to climb the map pack ahead of a stale competitor.

Should I reply to negative reviews?

Yes, every time, calmly and briefly. Prospects read the reply more than the review. We draft replies in your voice and you approve anything sensitive.

What about Apple Maps and Bing?

Bing Places is kept in sync as part of the plan, which feeds Bing, Copilot and in-car search. Apple Business Connect can be set up alongside; ask us on the call.
